"I've been eating here since April this year, the food is excellent. Sweet, yet floral. The only dish I haven't had was the vindaloo, and all of them are my favorites! I'd say the lamb korma is a good one though. 9/10 times the meal is perfect, otherwise the rice may be slightly undercooked or something, but never such a big deal. The staff are super nice and straightforward, always willing to help with decisions, etc."

"Best experience I have ever had with customer service. Hands down. Ever. Got a butter chicken combo for eat in, and got a huge portion that I needed to go back and get a take away container. The lady in front of me got it take away and it’s clear you get much more food doing eat in. The man who served me was absolutely delightful! I loved the sauce of the butter chicken so much, I asked if I could pay for extra. He said that they didn’t really do that, but gave me a cheeky scoop of sauce because I asked so nicely. Absolutely made my day! I couldn’t stop grinning. I won’t be forgetting this soon. I guess it really does pay to be kind <3 I had to write this review as soon as I got in the car because of how happy it made me and I think this kind of service is above and beyond what I would have expected. I could not thank them enough. Side note, I was shocked at reading some of these reviews. The butter chicken I got was fantastic - rich and creamy, huge pieces of chicken and beautiful naan bread as well as the amazing customer service. I wonder if they have taken on board the reviews and are making changes to get better?"

"My experience with buying takeaways from this place is as follows: while all their non-vegetarian dishes comprise boneless lamb or chicken options, including the lamb biryani, their chicken biryani is not. It has bones in it, and I have asked them several times, and they said they cannot do that. Many other places have a boneless chicken biryani option."

"I came to the food court to enjoy lunch and chose Spice Traders. I've had it in the past and enjoyed it but boy did they really deliver on this occasion - I was blown away!! I went for a large size medium-spiced Tikka Masala with a cheese garlic naan and a mango lassi to accompany. Generous serving size with REALLY good sized chicken pieces and the quality was outstanding. It was $30 which seems a lot but you have to remember how much things have gone up everywhere, so on balance I felt it was very reasonable value. I'm a bit stunned seeing so many negative reviews. This would suggest the place is hit or miss and I got lucky? The only tiny critiques I would make here is (based on my experience) a wee bit more rice for the large size and perhaps put 2 napkins on the tray instead of one - these meals can be naturally a bit messy. But none of that is big enough to reduce the 5 star I've given them on this occasion and on this experience I would and WILL be back."

"We always come to porirua n our stop is always Spice Traders in the mall for food. I would say the food is just outstanding n yummy. We have tried so many dishes and they are all so good. They even make upon your taste. Just been recently and I think due to new management and chef the food is was more tasty n amazing . It's always worth buying from you people.
